Parish council meetings are generally held in Astbury Village Hall, starting at 7:30pm. However, with the announcement of new national Covid-19 restrictions (“second lockdown”) expected to come into force on 5 November 2020, the meeting on 11 November will take place on Zoom, as in the first lockdown. The new restrictions are due to end on 2 December 2020, though if they are extended then later meetings may also take place on Zoom.
Zoom meetings, like Village Hall meetings are open to the public. To join a Zoom meeting you should click on the URL (web link) supplied in the relevant agenda, or copy and paste it into the address field of your web browser. Optionally, to speed connection, you can first install the Zoom client app on your chosen device — see the Zoom downloads page for details.
When our meetings are able to return to the Village Hall, in order to maintain social distancing during the Covid-19 emergency, numbers will be limited to thirty (30). To ensure the safety of those attending while the Covid-19 crisis lasts, the parish council has made a full risk assessment.
