Meetings and meeting dates

Following government guidance, scheduled future meetings will not take place as physical meetings during the current period of restricted activity.

Instead, as permitted by regulations made under the Coronavirus Act 2020, meetings will take place over the Internet at the usual time of 7:30pm.

In particular, meetings will be held via the Zoom web conferencing system. Meetings remain open to members of the press and public: the web address for each meeting will be given in the agenda for that meeting.  Agendas are published at least three working days in advance of the relevant meeting, and can be found on the Agendas for meetings page.

When physical meetings resume, they will generally take place in the Village Hall on the second Wednesday of each month, starting at 7:30 pm, except for December when there will be no meeting.

There are generally two meetings in May: one is the Annual Parish Council Meeting where, in addition to the normal business of a parish council meeting, the council selects its chairman and vice chairman for the coming year and assigns various responsibilities to its members.

The other meeting is the Annual Parishes Meeting  which, although usually chaired by the parish council chairman, is not a parish council meeting — it is a meeting of the parishes’ electors and is an opportunity to debate any current issue of interest in the community.

Meetings are open to the general public, and there is always an opportunity for any attendee to make a statement or ask a question before the formal business of the meeting starts.
