Resignation and replacment of councillor

Image of vacacy poster, linking to PDFAt the parish council meeting on 11 November, it was announced that Charles Kennerley, councillor for the Newbold Astbury ward has resigned.  The council thanked Charles, who has retired as landlord of the Hosrshoe Inn and left the area, for his ten years of service to the council and the community.

As a result, there is now a vacancy for a councillor in this ward.  If there is sufficient demand, an election will take place to appoint his Charles’s successor: otherwise, a new councillor will be co-opted.

Full details of the process can be found on this poster.
