Road closures: New Road, Wharf Lane, Fence Lane

Between 7 December and 11 December 2020, New Road, Wharf Lane and Fence Lane will be closed by Cheshire East Highways for surface patching. Emergency access will be maintained where possible. We have no information currently on recommended alternative routes.

Roadworks alert: Brownlow Heath Lane

Brownlow Heath Lane will be closed all day on Wednesday, 25 November to allow Cheshire East Highways to install road studs (‘cat’s eyes’).
Extraordinary Parish Council meeting CANCELLED

The extraordinary Parish Council meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, 25 November has been cancelled. The next regular meeting will be on Wednesday, 13 January 2021 at 7:30pm in the Village Hall. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Resignation and replacment of councillor

At the parish council meeting on 11 November, it was announced that Charles Kennerley, councillor for the Newbold Astbury ward has resigned. The council thanked Charles, who has retired as landlord of the Hosrshoe Inn and left the area, for his ten years of service to the council and the community.
